How to top up
Log in to the Vircle App
Tap “Top Up” on the Parent dashboard
Choose your top-up method:
DuitNow (recommended)
FPX Online Banking
Debit/Credit Card (Visa™ or Mastercard™)
Enter the amount and follow the on-screen instructions to complete your top-up
Any applicable fees will be clearly shown in-app before confirmation.
Important notes
Foreign-issued Visa™ cards are not supported, and foreign-issued Mastercard™ cards may be rejected depending on your overseas bank.
A 1% convenience fee applies to credit card top-ups.
Monthly top-up limits apply and are shown in-app.
Once the top-up is successful, the balance will appear in your Parent’s e-wallet, and you can transfer funds to your child immediately.
For “Debit/Credit Card” (Total monthly top up is limited to RM1,000):
1. Scan your Debit/Credit Card or enter your Debit/Credit Card details manually.
2. Verify the transaction via text (SMS OTP).
Upon successful payment, you should be automatically redirected to your Parent's dashboard and have the ability to transfer money to your Vircle Child.
Top-ups made via DuitNow, FPX Online Banking, or Debit/Credit Card will appear immediately in your Parent’s e-wallet. Once credited, the balance is instantly available for you to transfer to your child as allowance.
Not all credit cards are accepted.
Malaysian-issued Visa™ and Mastercard™ cards are supported and continue to work for top-ups.
Foreign-issued Visa™ cards are no longer supported due to new card-network requirements.
Foreign-issued Mastercard™ cards may still work, but approval depends on whether the issuing bank supports the required compliance checks. As a result, these cards may be rejected more often.
These limitations are not unique to Vircle and apply across most major Malaysian e-wallets following industry-wide regulatory changes.
For the most reliable top-up experience, we recommend using DuitNow, FPX, or Wise™ (via DuitNow).
